• What are the most important lessons you gathered from the course?

I learned to look at teaching from an academic point of view. I also learned that in an online setting, greater care must be taken to encourage interactions with students and to create a community.

 

• How has your thinking changed as a result of completing the course?

I think that I have a much greater understand of how to address the challenges presented by teaching in an online setting.

 

• In what ways did the platform (WordPress) influence your interaction with the content and other people and what you learned?

I think WordPress allowed me to come up with my own ideas about what I learned. It allowed for different media such as pictures and videos and for me to easily see my progression through the course.

 

• What learning strategies were most effective for you? Why?

I found that I learned the most from creating my own posts. These posts encouraged me to reflect on what I was learning and consider how the material could be used in my own teaching. I also found the interview assignment very interesting and useful.
